Celebrating Connection at Meet My Friends at the Park 2026
On July 8, 2026, Lending Hand Home Care Corp. had the pleasure of hosting our annual Meet My Friends at the Park at Springbank Park in London, Ontario, and what an incredible day it was!
We were thrilled to welcome families, children, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community partners for a morning filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and unforgettable memories. Seeing everyone come together to connect, share experiences, and simply enjoy time with one another reminded us why this event is so important.
A Community Built on Connection
At Lending Hand Home Care Corp., we believe that no family should feel alone in their caregiving journey. Events like Meet My Friends at the Park create opportunities for medically complex children, adults, and their support networks to build friendships, strengthen relationships, and experience the joy of belonging to a compassionate community.
Throughout the morning, children enjoyed outdoor activities, games, water play, face painting, and time spent making new friends, while caregivers had the opportunity to meet others who understand the unique challenges and rewards of caring for a loved one. The smiles, conversations, and shared moments made the event truly special.

We were also honoured to welcome Kids Kicking Cancer Canada – Heroes Circle, whose interactive activities brought confidence, empowerment, and joy to so many children and families throughout the day.
A very special thank you goes to St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs London for joining us with their wonderful therapy dogs, Happi and Maisey. They quickly became two of the biggest stars of the event! Families loved spending time with them, and their calm, friendly presence brought comfort, smiles, and countless heartwarming moments to everyone they met.
Creating Lasting Memories
One of the most rewarding parts of the day was watching new friendships form. Families shared stories, children played together without barriers, and caregivers connected with others who truly understood their experiences.
These moments remind us that community is about much more than gathering together; it’s about creating a space where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and valued.
Every smile, conversation, and connection made throughout the day reflected the incredible strength and resilience of the families we are privileged to serve.
